A native Houstonian, Wen moved to Stafford in 1979.  Wen and his wife of 44 years Virginia were one of the first residents in Kingsway.  A resident of Stafford for 42 years, Wen is the proud father of two children Melissa and Michael.  Both graduates from SMSD, Melissa proceeded to the University of Houston, Main Campus, and graduated in 2005.

Wen has played a vital role, either by appointment or election, in the City of Stafford’s politics since 1999. Always a prevalent member in the community, Wen actively looked for opportunities to give back to his community and eventually was appointed by the late Mayor Leonard Scarcella to the City of Stafford’s Planning & Zoning Commission.  While on the Planning & Zoning Commission, one of the City Council members, Joe Scarpinato, passed away while in office.  Urged by the citizens of Stafford, Wen ran and was elected for the City Councilman position in 2002.  He has continued to be a member of the City Council to present day.  During this time, Wen has served on several pertinent committees as a Council member.  Serving on the Stafford Economic Development Corporation for 2 years, Wen was nominated and elected President of the SEDC, replacing Mayor Leonard Scarcella, who had been President of the board for 16 years.  Wen still retains that position.
